Terms &
conditions.

Terms governing quotation-based sales, made-to-order production, project deliveries and purchases from Emmanordic.

Quotation and agreement

Emmanordic is not an online shop. An enquiry made through the website, by telephone or email is therefore not a binding order.

An agreement is concluded when the customer accepts our quotation in writing or receives an order confirmation. Product, price, payment, delivery and any special requirements are defined in that agreement, which takes precedence over these general terms.

Prices and payment

Prices, VAT, delivery, installation, deposits and payment dates are stated in the individual quotation or order confirmation.

Production begins once any agreed deposit has been received and dimensions, materials and specifications have been approved.

Delivery

Delivery time and location are agreed individually. Delivery may take place personally, through a carrier or by collection.

Because many products are produced or allocated specifically for each project, stated delivery times are indicative unless a fixed date has been expressly agreed.

Outdoor furniture and parasols

Emmanordic Outdoor furniture is designed for normal use both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor suitability does not mean maintenance-free. Care instructions must be followed, and furniture, cushions and parasols must be protected from conditions for which they were not designed.

Teak is a living natural material. Variations in colour, grain, texture and dimensions, together with minor movement, fine surface cracks and shrinkage cracks — particularly in end grain — may occur naturally as the timber dries and responds to humidity and weather. Untreated teak exposed outdoors will also develop a silver-grey patina. These characteristics are not in themselves defects when they do not affect strength, safety or normal function.

Any crack or deformation that affects construction, stability, safety or normal use will be assessed individually under the applicable complaint rules. Please contact Emmanordic before attempting repair or treatment.

Outdoor textiles, rope and related materials may change appearance through sunlight, moisture and normal use. Cushions must be allowed to dry and damp textiles must not be stored without ventilation. Damage caused by unsuitable storage, inadequate care, pressure washing, inappropriate cleaning products or use contrary to the instructions is not covered.

Parasols must be used with the recommended base and anchoring. They must be closed and secured when unattended and must not be used in strong winds or severe weather. Damage caused by wind, storms, insufficient anchoring or incorrect operation is not considered a product defect.

Made-to-order products

One-of-one tables and products made to the customer’s specifications enter production based on the approved written agreement.

Changes after approval may affect price and delivery time. Bespoke products are exempt from the ordinary right of withdrawal where applicable under Danish consumer law.

Indoor furniture and natural materials

Wood is a natural material that responds to temperature and humidity. Grain, colour variation, knots, patina and minor movement are inherent characteristics rather than defects when they do not affect strength or normal function.

Care instructions must be followed, and indoor furniture should not be placed directly beside radiators or wood-burning stoves.

Receipt and complaints

The delivery should be inspected upon receipt. Visible transport damage or shortages should be reported promptly with photographs and the order number. Business customers must inspect deliveries without undue delay and give written notice as soon as a defect is or ought to have been discovered.

Consumer purchases are governed by mandatory Danish consumer protection law. Business purchases are governed primarily by the accepted quotation and order confirmation.

Complaints do not cover normal wear, accidental damage, incorrect use or assembly, inadequate care, unsuitable storage, unauthorised alterations or natural variation that does not affect strength, safety or normal function. Where a complaint is justified, the appropriate remedy is determined within the framework of applicable law.

Product information

Photography, samples and on-screen colours are indicative. Lighting, displays, production batches and natural materials may result in minor differences between the representation and the delivered product.

Minor technical or material improvements may be made provided the agreed character, quality and function are not reduced. Special requirements concerning dimensions, colour, intended use or placement must be recorded in the quotation or order confirmation.

Events beyond our control

Emmanordic is not liable for delay or non-performance caused by exceptional circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including major transport disruption, official intervention, conflict, fire, natural events or serious supply disruption. We will inform the customer promptly and seek a reasonable solution. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Contact and disputes

Questions and complaints may be sent to emil@emmanordic.com or made by telephone on +45 42 24 89 20.

This English version is provided for convenience. In the event of discrepancies, the Danish terms and the specific accepted agreement prevail.
